Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure from Insomniac Games — the studio behind Marvel's Spider-Man — arriving September 15, 2026, exclusively on PS5. Liam McIntyre voices and motion-captures Logan in a globe-spanning story that moves through Canada, Japan and the Marvel island nation of Madripoor, with Jean Grey confirmed as a team-up partner in certain sequences. Combat is built around a Rage meter, fueled by attacks, parries and kills, that powers stronger strikes and Logan's Healing Factor, alongside named Techniques such as Tornado Spin and Bull Rush and brutal Critical Strike finishers.
Pre-orders opened June 2, 2026, following Sony's State of Play gameplay deep dive. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and the digital-only Digital Deluxe Edition $79.99, adding five extra suits, five claw skins and three Technique points; Standard buyers can upgrade to Deluxe for $10. Pre-ordering either edition unlocks the Classic Brown Suit and Reflective Claws early, plus a Technique point and PlayStation avatars. Insomniac has said there will be no Collector's Edition, and the game carries an ESRB M (Mature 17+) rating covering blood and gore, intense violence and strong language.
What's still open: Sony hasn't published an exact unlock hour, and preload timing hasn't been detailed — recent PS5 first-party releases have unlocked at midnight local time, so expect similar unless Sony says otherwise. A PC version has not been announced; June 2026 reports say PlayStation leadership indicated its narrative single-player exclusives, Wolverine included, will stay on PlayStation, though plans could always change. The PlayStation Store listing flags PS5 Pro Enhanced support, with the specific Pro graphics and performance modes still to be detailed.
